INTRODUCTION : A 51-year-old male patient from New Zealand visited our Delhi clinic seeking a permanent solution for his multiple dental concerns. He had several missing teeth, difficulty chewing, and even digestive issues due to compromised oral function. Having been referred by his cousin—who earlier underwent a successful Hollywood Smile Makeover with us—the patient was hopeful for a transformation of his own. After a detailed clinical evaluation, our team recommended a comprehensive full mouth rehabilitation involving crowns, root canals, and dental implants. Over multiple appointments, we restored his bite, function, and smile aesthetics. The final outcome was a stable, healthy, and fully functional smile that greatly improved his quality of life.
PATIENT BACKGROUND : The patient, a 51-year-old male from New Zealand, had been struggling with missing teeth for several years. The gaps made chewing extremely challenging, leading him to rely on soft foods and resulting in digestive discomfort. His dental condition had been progressively deteriorating due to long-standing tooth loss and functional imbalance. He was referred to our clinic by his cousin, who previously achieved exceptional results through a Hollywood Smile Makeover at Smile Delhi-The Dental Clinic. Motivated by this success, the patient sought a long-term restorative solution that would help him regain dental function, oral comfort, and confidence.
INITIAL ASSESSMENT & DIAGNOSIS : During the initial examination, multiple missing teeth were noted, especially in the lower left region, which significantly affected his chewing efficiency. Several existing teeth showed extensive wear, loss of structure, and signs of compromised vitality. Clinical and radiographic assessment revealed that certain molars required root canal treatment to eliminate infection and preserve the remaining tooth structure. The lower left quadrant lacked support due to missing premolar and molar teeth, creating a collapsed bite on that side. Overall, the patient presented with a reduced vertical dimension, uneven occlusion, and compromised masticatory ability. Based on these findings, a full mouth rehabilitation was essential to restore function, provide structural stability, and ensure long-term oral health.
